Happy Birthday, Everett!

Everett had a great birthday even though it did not start out that way.  He got a flat tire on the way to Oklahoma this morning.  He did make it back home tonight, and we were able to go out to eat!  Rachel came over to watch the kids so that we could take our time.

His "cake" this year was one of those big decorated cookies!  It was yummy!  Chloe kept wanting to go over to it and smell it!  I finally told her that if she would sing Happy Birthday to her daddy, then I would cut her a piece of cookie.  Here's the video of her singing to him!

Happy 34th Birthday!

Easter 2008

Kyle and Chloe before church on March 22nd.

We started our Easter celebration yesterday by going to Easter service at Fellowship Church. We had not been there in awhile, but we always enjoy the services when we do go. We had been trying out another church, but a few weeks ago when we went, we got turned away, because they were too full. I did not like being told I could not go to church, but if they didn't have room, then there was nothing we could do about it. We just have not gone back to that church since then.

Back to Easter....

Chloe and Kyle woke up on Easter morning and found out the Easter Bunny had hidden baskets for them. Chloe had fun looking for it, and she had even more fun opening all the eggs and finding out what was in them!

We went down to Everett's parent's house for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Last year, Chloe had a head start since her 8 cousins are older and expert egg hunters. She ended up getting the most eggs (and money), so this year she started out with all of them. Rachel, Tony and Lorenzo also came down there for Easter. Easter dinner was Crawfish! Rachel and I don't eat crawfish, so we ate other snacks instead.

EASTER BUNNY

Well, we made it to see the Easter Bunny today. Let me tell you......This was not the same person in that Easter Bunny costume that was there 2 years ago! It wasn't a very enthusiastic Bunny. I think he/she was taking a nap for a few minutes while we were waiting in line...seriously! He didn't move for awhile, and then he finally looked up and stretched his arms out. Chloe was so excited, but when we got there, she did not want to go sit by him. Everett went over to her and told her it was ok, because the Easter Bunny was sleeping. The Bunny nodded his head, so I guess we thought right! We did get the picture, though. What a deal! ha! $12 for a 5x7 picture of a sleepy Easter Bunny, a crying one year old and a not-too-happy three year old!

Talking?!?

Kyle is really trying to communicate with us!  The "real" words that he says are dada, daddy, mama, no-no, and mi (milk).  Everything else sounds like a different language.  It is so cute!  He has facial expressions and moves his hands when talking.  We have no idea what he is saying, but he sure seems like he knows.  We hear alot of da-ca-da-ca talk! :)  Here are some video clips of Kyle talking!!  I'll add more video as he continues to express himself!  ENJOY!

Chloe and Kyle's First Snowman!

WHAT A DAY!  It looked like a blizzard outside today.  There was lots of snow, then rain, then snow with thunder....don't think I have heard that before.  I can't remember seeing flakes that big either.  Chloe kept wanting to check on her tricycle to see how much snow was on it.   I am glad we did not have to be out on the roads......we just stayed in and watched it come down!

After Chloe and Kyle took their naps, we went out to build a snowman.  Today's snow was the perfect snowman building snow!  We counted 4 snowmen and a snow fort on our street.  All of the kids had a great time!  Everett even made it home early to play in it.
