Chloe is 5!!

We cannot believe our little girl is 5! We have had so much fun with her! She makes us laugh all the time with the things she says. I wish I wrote down everything she said! These are a few things from this month:

She is very particular about what she wears. She feels that she must wear a dress or skirt…no jeans or shorts. She says she does not look like a princess when she has jeans on. Of course I wear jeans all the time, and she comes up to me and says, “Mommy, you still look like a princess even though you have jeans on.” That’s our sweet girl.

She likes her hair a certain way. When I put it up for gymnastics, I sometimes try to put it in a little bun, but she won't let me get away with that! If her hair is up, it has to be hanging down. If I wear my hair up, she will say, "That's ok if you want to wear your hair that way. You look better the other way, but can you do that if you want."

Chloe: Mommy, my eyes keep trying to close, and I don’t want them to.
Mommy: Well, Chloe, maybe you need a nap.
Chloe: No, I am NOT sleepy. I am not taking a nap. Eyes, quit closing. You hear me?
(She was asleep within the next 5 minutes on the way home.)

Mommy: Chloe, quit eating so fast.
Chloe: Mommy, God made me this way.
Mommy: God does not want you to be sick, though.
Chloe: God wants me to eat fast so that I grow fast. That is what He wants.

Chloe went to the doctor today for her 5 year well visit. When the doctor walked in the room, this was their conversation:

Chloe: Can I have a shot, please? My brother got a shot this morning, and I really want one!

(Kyle had his 3 year well visit this morning, and he got a shot.)

Doctor: Well, let me see if you need a shot. No, you don't need a shot today. Will a sticker do?

Chloe: I guess that'll be fine.

Happy 5th Birthday, Chloe! We love you so much!

We had Chloe and Kyle's birthday party at Excite Gym on Saturday. This was the first party we have had away from home, and it was so great! The gym did all the set up and clean up while we were able to visit with everyone. Chloe and Kyle had a fun time playing with friends and eating their big Nestle cookie cake!

FEBRUARY SNOW

This is the most snow anyone has ever seen here! 11 inches of snow in Dallas! What a record! The kids had a blast playing in it! Kyle loved making snowballs and throwing them at us while Chloe built some snowmen around the yard! We had to take advantage of this Texas snow, and there was plenty to do that with!
