Finally gave in!

Kyle and Chloe spent the night the my mom and dad on Friday night. This was Kyle's first night away. He still does not consistently sleep through the night, so I was very hesitant about leaving him. My mom said it would be ok, so we went ahead and tried it. He woke up at 12, 2:45 and then again at 5:45. I know my parents were exhausted the next day! Here are some pics of his first night at grandma and grandpa's house.

Our dinner club started in October 2005. We meet at a different house every other month and have dinner and visit. We will meet again in December for our Progressive Dinner.


This month, the dinner club was on Friday, October 12th.

The couples who made it were:

This month the dinner club was at our house. We decided to do a wine tasting of white wines. We had appetizers and salads. Each couple brought a white wine. The wines, in the order they won, are pictured above.

Chloe and Kyle spent the night with my parents. It was Kyle's first night away from home. I kept wondering how he would do. Each time I called, he was fine, so that made me feel better.

Kyle and I went over to the Ferina's house while I watched Lorenzo for a couple of hours. Kyle and Lorenzo had a good time playing. They kept smiling and laughing at eachother.

Our family met Tony, Rachel and Lorenzo for dinner. The kids did great...even with the 30 minute wait for a table. This was Kyle's first time in a restaurant highchair. He did so well sitting in it eating his cheerios! He loved looking around at everything! Chloe enjoyed playing on the choo-choo train and horses while we waited. Lorenzo had good timing...he fell asleep right when we started to eat!

Here are some pictures of Kyle on Wednesday, February 21st at 5 days old. Tiffany came over to meet him and took some pictures. Here are a few of them.

Kyle's Birth

Kyle was born on February 16, 2007 (one week before his due date) at 10:36 am.

He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces!

I had a scheduled C-section. We arrived at the hospital at 8:30 am, I walked into the operating room at 10:10, and Kyle was born 26 minutes later!!

Chloe was able to watch Kyle get his first bath. She seemed to know a little of what was going on, but I am still not sure how much she understood being that her 2nd birthday was not until the next Friday.

I fed Kyle for the first time at 12:00 pm that day. I had to have some help with Kyle latching on, but it was fine after awhile.

The medication hit me much harder this time, and I had a hard time staying awake at times. I fell asleep a few times right in the middle of conversations. I remember Rachel being there, and she and I had a long talk. The next day, I had to admit to her that I had no idea what we talked about and asked her if I made any kind of sense.....She seemed to not know how out of it I was.

We went home on Monday, February 19, 2007.

Chloe enjoyed having her little brother home.  She is a great big sister!

We spent 2006 New Year's Eve over at Rachel and Tony's house.  It was just the 4 of us, and we had a great time together!  Chloe was over at my parent's house, and we picked her up at 12:15.
