Happy 4th Birthday, Chloe!

Chloe turned 4 today!  She had a princess party on Saturday, and I hope to get the pictures posted sometime today or tomorrow!

As for today, the "real birthday" day as Chloe calls it.....we woke her up by singing to her, of course!  She then went to school, and I brought a special birthday snack for her to share with the class.  Chloe wanted to have cookies and milk!  I guess she had had enough cake and cupcakes from the last 2 weekends of birthday party fun!

I picked her up from school at noon, and we went to go pick up Grandma.  We then went to the American Girl Doll store.  Chloe got an American Girl doll a couple of years ago from her Aunt Joanie.  She has really only  started playing with her the past few months, though.  She has named her Baby Emily!  She wanted something new for Emily to wear, so we picked out some new pajamas!  She had a good time looking around the store and trying to convince me to buy her some Bitty Twins!  Maybe next year!

We went up to the 2nd floor and ate in the American Girl Bistro for the first time!  They gave Chloe a highchair for her baby to sit in!  Kyle was not very enthused with the doll store, and made it very clear right when we got in the restaurant!  After he settled down, we ordered a banana split!  It was Chloe and Kyle's first one!  The waiters sang to Chloe!  Then, we all dug in and almost finished the whole thing.  I think Kyle ate all the chocolate ice cream!

We ended the day with having Chloe and Kyle's yearly doctor appointments!  They are both doing great!  Chloe is in the 50% for height and 60% for weight.  Kyle is in the 60% for height and 90% for weight!  They both got shots today, and my ears hurt from having two screaming children!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Kyle!

Kyle has officially turned 2.  We sang to him again and gave him another chance to blow out his candles.  He did at least try this time!

Grandma and Grandpa came over to help us celebrate since Everett was out of town.  We had Kyle's favorites:  pizza and cupcakes!

Happy Birthday, Little Buddy!

Kyle's 2nd Birthday Party!

COLIN, KYLE, LORENZO, FINN AND KEATON

Taylor and Chloe

Ben

Colin

Finn

Keaton

We gave Kyle a "Thomas the Train" party today at our house!

We had 5 train tracks put together on the floor and train table. Of course, the tracks were taken apart within 5 minutes of the party starting. I should have glued the tracks together!

Kyle was not too sure what to think when we started singing to him.
He loved the green icing on his cupcakes....He never eats the cake part!

We want to thank all the little friends who came over to help Kyle celebrate his 2nd birthday:
Taylor, Keaton, Ben, Colin, Finn, and Lorenzo

Kyle's official birthday is on Monday, so we will sing to him again!!

The Cupid's Ball!

AND...Here is Kyle eating his popcorn while he watches his movie!

Everett and Chloe are at The Cupid's Ball. The Ball is at the gym where Chloe takes gymnastics. I wish so much that I was there watching them! They were both very excited to go spend their special time together.

Chloe talked about The Ball all week, and she was so happy when I told her this morning that today was the day!! She has a new dress, new shoes and a new red bow!

While they are out dancing, Kyle and I are having a fun time eating popcorn and watching his favorite movie....MADAGASCAR.

Here are a few pictures of Everett and Chloe before they left to go dancing! I will hopefully post more pictures later of ones taken from Everett's phone.
(I just talked to Everett, and he said Chloe has not stopped dancing since they got there!)

Our 2009 January in Review:

31. We had all free cable channels all month long!

30. Chloe finally decided she wants a princess birthday party at home.

29. At work, I had 11 meetings and completed 5 evaluations.

28. Chloe knows the 12 months of the year!

27. Kyle is now in 24 month-2T clothes and wears a size 6-7 shoe.

23. Chloe is now in 4T clothes and wears a size 9 shoe.

22. Every morning, Kyle and Chloe want to eat their daddy's breakfast even if it is the same as what I fixed them. It just tastes so much better when it is on daddy's plate!

21. Everett and I both had a cold for a few days, and the kiddos somehow managed to stay well!

20. We stuffed Nay.

19. Kyle now says he is "sorry" when he yells or pushes someone.

18. We went to Captain Nemo's with Rachel, Tony, Julie and Louie.

17. Kyle now says 3-4 word phrases and sentences, and people can understand him!

16. We all went to visit Granny

15. Chloe's favorite comment: "You're so silly!"

14. I turned in 2009-2010 preschool enrollment forms for both Chloe and Kyle. It is hard to believe that they will both be in preschool next year!

13. Chloe and I saw the movie, Hotel for Dogs, with Cousin Madison and Aunt Brenda!

12. Chloe painted my nails! She painted her grandma's nails, too!!

11. Homer turned 3 years old!

10. Chloe spells her last name and wants to start to write it.

9. Two "ICE" days off from work even though one of them was not very icy.

8. Kyle sat in the barber chair all by himself and got his hair cut like a big boy!

7. Chloe completed 40 piece floor puzzles by herself.

6. Everett and I went on 2 dates to Uncle Buck's Steakhouse.

5. I attended my first parent-teacher conference with me being on the parent side this time!

4. Chloe can do a cartwheel!

3. Kyle's favorite sentence: "Have a nice day!"

2. We are thankful to have 2 children who look forward to going to bed. We must really wear them out!

AND the #1 thing in January: Kyle went tee-tee in the potty 7 times the last couple of weeks...potty training a boy might not be as hard as I thought it would be.

January was mild compared to the whirlwind of the holidays!

I already know February will be busier with planning 2 birthday parties!

Chloe's Lamb, Nay

Chloe's special stuffed animal is named Nay. Nay has been her favorite even before her first birthday! We aren't sure why she gave him that name.....we think maybe she mixed up her lamb and horse sounds when she was younger, and "neigh" became NAY!

Here are some pictures of Chloe with Nay a few years ago.

JULY 2005: Chloe with all her lambs when she was 5 months old. I think she already had a preference for Nay at that time....She is holding Nay's leg.

NOVEMBER 2005: Everett, Chloe and Nay

DECEMBER 2005: Chloe and Nay....Chloe always wanted Nay in the highchair with her, and she would even try to feed Nay her food!

APRIL 2006: Chloe (14 months old) and Nay

MAY 2006: Grandma, Chloe and Nay

Before Chloe was 2 years old, she pulled most of Nay's stuffing out. I checked on her one day during her nap, and the stuffing was all over the floor. I stitched up the hole where she had taken out the stuffing. She loved him anyway, and it never really bothered her.

During the past few months, she has asked to put some stuffing back in Nay. We finally went to Hobby Lobby today and bought a bag of it. I made a little hole in Nay, and Chloe went to work on stuffing him!

She is very excited to be able to take her lamb to school tomorrow. Her class is bringing things that start with the letter "L". We had to fix him up for the big show-and-tell.

Big Boy Room!

Kyle is now in a big boy room!!  He has been sleeping in a full size bed since December 14th!!  He has adjusted much better than we thought he would!

Here are a couple of before pictures of his baby room!

Here are the pictures of his room now!

We transformed his crib into a full size bed.  If you look at the front of the crib in the top picture, then you'll be able to tell it is at the foot of the bed now.

Goodnight, Kyle VIDEO!
