Christmas 2011

Christmas was spent at home with the 5 of us this year. Everett had back surgery on the 22nd, so he was still in bed most of the day on Christmas Eve. I fixed Lasagna, the kids opened presents from each other, and we watched a few Christmas shows before the kids headed off to bed. My parents came over on Christmas Day for awhile and ate lunch with us. It was a nice Christmas, but we will all be glad when we can go back to spending Christmas with the entire family again next year!

The Pledge!

Chloe was on the morning announcements on Monday, December 19th, and she led the pledge for the school! She did a great job! She told me later on that her knees had been wobbling when she stood on the chair....I asked her if she was nervous saying the pledge....she said "Oh, yes. I was very nervous!"

Santa Came to Town!

Every year Santa comes down our street in a fire truck! We missed seeing him a few times during the years, but we have made sure, since having kids, that we are home every time now! This year, he came on December 12th at 7:20 pm!

Dad's 75th Birthday Party

While everyone was in the other room...dad spotted Jake trying to hide against the wall! So funny!

He was very surprised!

All the grandkids! Ages 9 months to almost 18 years old!

We celebrated Dad's 75th Birthday on December 3rd! It was a surprise party! I called him on the Thursday before and invited him and mom to go out to dinner with us. I kept wondering if he knew something since we had all been keeping this a secret for 6 months! He didn't know anything!:) When they came over to our house on Saturday night to go out to eat, he walked into his birthday party! It was so much fun for everyone!

NINE Months Old!

Carissa is now 9 months old! She weighs 22 lbs! She is crawling everywhere, pulling up on furniture and walking around the furniture. She loves for us to take her hands and walk around the house with her. Chloe and Kyle walked at 10 months....thought Carissa would be later since she crawled much later, but now we are not so sure about that. She is saying da-da and ma-ma, too!
