Everett and his mom on Christmas Day!

Christmas was so much fun this year! The kids had a great time with everyone!

On Wednesday morning, the 24th, Chloe and I went to the hospital to visit our new twin cousins! Hayden and Molly were born on Sunday, the 21st. They are very cute babies! Congratulations to Cousin Brandon, his wife Heather and our cousin, Madison, who is the new big sister! They were getting ready to head on home that morning, so their Christmas Eve was definitely going to be spent at home this year with the new babies. While we were at the hospital, we were able to visit my friend, Lyndi, who had a baby boy on Tuesday morning. She was only a few doors down from where my cousin's family was. Congratulations to Lyndi and Chase!

We spent Christmas Eve with my family. We went over to my parent's house, had dinner, watched some old Christmas home videos and opened presents. Rachel, Tony and Lorenzo came over to join us! We went home about 9:30 that night.

My parents and sister, Elaine, came over on Christmas morning at 7:30. They were there in time to watch the kiddos go in and see what Santa had left them! They had a very fun time playing with their new toys!

We went over to Everett's parents later that day on Christmas Day! Chloe and Kyle played with and watched all their cousins! Even though their cousins are so much older, Chloe and Kyle now have fun playing with them since they are able to communicate with them a little more!

It was a fun Christmas, and I think as Kyle gets more excited this next year....next year's Christmas will be even more fun!

Chloe's Christmas Singing!

Chloe sang to us on Christmas Eve!  She had practiced in the car for a few days and said she wanted to sing for everyone.  I finally figured out where the song came from....The Polar Express movie!  She would not start singing until everyone was in front watching her!  She did such a good job of singing to us!

I will post more about our 2008 Christmas a little later!

Preschool Christmas Party

(I think Chloe finished her cupcake before anyone else started eating!)

Unwrap the Present (tissue box)

Snowflake Ornaments!  (They LOVED the glitter!)

Musical Book Exchange

Chloe's class had their Christmas party today at school. All the kids had a very fun time eating cupcakes, playing games and making snowflake ornaments! Chloe's favorite part was the Musical Book Exchange. The book she chose to open was called Ten Christmas Lights.

I was helping out with the party, so I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few that I did take!

Thanks to Kim for hosting this month!

We all look forward to our "girl's night out" each month!

Our group has been together since August 2006.  We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

2008 Santa Visit

We went to see Santa this evening at the Gaylord!

Chloe was so excited to see him.  She whispered to Santa what she wanted for Christmas.  She looked so cute snuggled up against Santa while the picture was being taken.

Kyle was not as enthused by it.  He had a great time running around the place, but when it came time to sit on Santa's lap, he didn't want a part of that.  We were finally able to get him to sit there and take a few pictures.

We then took pictures while the kids ran around!

November 2008

CHLOE

Chloe has been having fun at school. She looks forward to it every time. She is learning so many things. She loves to come home and tell us all about her school! She loves reading and learning letters. She has a more difficult time recognizing numbers. She has been playing with some file folder games that I made 9 years ago when I taught kindergarteners. I am hoping she will be more interested in numbers by playing with those games!!

Chloe has also been having fun at her gymnastics. She is walking across the balance beam, and now they are working on forward rolls on the balance beam. She has been a great listener, and she fits right in even though she is the youngest one in the group. Her cartwheel is looking like a real one now!!

We are going to start her in Soccer Tots. I will post about that whenever we do it!

KYLE

Talking:

"I wan wash Einstine." (I want to watch Baby Einstein.)

"I wan or ju." (I want orange juice.)

"I wan nana." (I want a banana.)

He says "ello" for "hello".

He says "mine" when someone tries to take something away from him.

He calls Chloe "Onnie" or "Annie". We have no idea why.

Crib:

Kyle now climbs out of his crib and takes a stroll through the house in the morning. Chloe has always waited in her bed for us to come get her in the morning, but not anymore! Kyle` walks to her room and gets her out of bed. We then hear them both walking around the house! I will be putting the safety knob on his door so that he won't be able to get out of his room without one of us coming to get him. We did that with Chloe for about a year, and it was great! She learned not to get out of her bed.

Happy Thanksgiving 2008!

THE BROTHERS
Gene, Everett, Bill, and Barry

We were able to get Kyle to be still for a couple of pictures.
He ran around the rest of the time.

Chloe and Tata

Paw-Paw

We spent Thanksgiving this year with Everett's side of the family.

We went over to Gene's house. (Everett's oldest brother)

The kids had a fun time with their 8 cousins.  Chloe and Kyle are well now and played non-stop for the entire 4 hours we were there!

They both fell asleep within 10 minutes on the way home.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am off to bed now...I plan to get up and be at the stores by 4:00 am!! :)

Update on Chloe

Chloe has had a fever off and on since Thursday night.

I kept her home from school on Friday, because she had a cough and fever. She seemed to feel ok that day. Every time I thought I should take her to the doctor, her fever went away and she would act like her old self again.
The doctor did listen to her chest when we went in there for Kyle on Friday morning. She said Chloe sounded ok. She didn't check Chloe's ears, though, and I now I wished she would have.....

On Saturday, she did not feel well at all. She rested on the couch all day. We watched all kinds of movies together....Sleeping Beauty, Frosty the Snowman, Madagascar! I think she enjoyed that part, but I could still tell she did not feel well.

She felt much better on Sunday! Her Aunt Joanie and cousins Annie and Emma came to visit! She hardly had a fever all day. She told me she felt "great"!

This morning, she woke up with another fever. Everett was off today, so he took her to the doctor. She has ear infections in both ears! She has not had an ear infection in almost 2 years. She had them all the time from the age of 6 months to 2 years old.

Now that she and Kyle are both on medicine, I know they will start to feel better! We will just have to take it easy this week.

On another note, Kyle climbed out of his crib 5 times today (and he was so proud of himself for doing it), so now naptime and bedtime will be much more difficult!

Update on Kyle

We went back to the doctor this morning at 7:30.

His breathing was at 98%, so he is getting better!

We will now only do breathing treatments every 6 hours for the next week.

The medicine makes him hyper afterwards.

Here's a little video of Kyle last night at 10:00!  I thought he would never go to sleep.  He did make it to bed by 10:30! :)

Sick Little Buddy

This is the 2nd at-home breathing treatment. He was much better by this one. We did not have to hold his hands down anymore.

Here is Kyle eating his waffle this morning. His favorite chicken has been with him constantly while he has been sick.

Here's Kyle watching a show with his daddy last night.

We found out this morning that Kyle has bronchitis.

Last week, he started getting the sniffles and runny nose. He ran a fever last Wednesday night, the 12th, but he was fever free after that.

He still continued to have the runny nose thing.

Last weekend, he started getting a cough. I gave him OTC medicine to help with that.

It started getting a little worse, so Everett took him to the doctor on Tuesday morning. The doctor said everything was fine and he looked great! I was so hoping she would call in antibiotics for him! I wanted him to get well so fast!

Yesterday, his cough got worse, his nose was more runny, his eyes were very watery, and he had had a fever for 2 days.

I took him to the doctor this morning. She listened to him breathe and said he needed a breathing treatment. We have only had one experience with a breathing treatment. Chloe had one last Spring. She sat there, held the mask over her nose by herself for 15 minutes and acted like such a big girl. I knew this would be nothing like that experience! Kyle does not like anything on his face or head.

The nurse brought the machine in, showed me how to use it, and then walked out! I had to hold him for 15 minutes kicking and screaming in my lap. I had to force the mask on his face. The whole time he was just yelling "Mommy, mommy, mommy...". I was trying to rock him and tell him it was ok. I just wished someone had stayed in there to help me. I had tears coming down my face by the time the nurse decided to come back in.

The doctor measured his breathing again, and it was at 93% which was down from where it had been. She said that if it had been any lower, she would have put him in the hospital. We now need to do at-home breathing treatments with him every 4 hours. We have another appointment very early tomorrow morning, so hopefully, I will have some good news by then.

Here are a few pictures of little Kyle this week.

The Sleepover!

Watching Tinkerbell!

Coloring!

Painting fingernails!
They switched pajamas!

Playing Candy Land!

This is where they started off going to sleep....they moved around to different rooms many times before finally settling down at 10:00.

Chloe had her first overnight guest this past Saturday....her cousin Madison!

Those two crazy girls had so much fun.  Kyle followed them around the entire time.

We painted each other's nails, played Candy Land, played dress-up, watched Tinkerbell, and ate pizza.

We'll have to do it again very soon....hopefully before Madison's twin baby brother and sister arrive in December!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

We'd like to wish my grandma a Happy 93rd Birthday today!

Chloe picked out some pink roses to take to her Granny, and we went over to visit her today.

Chloe and cousin Madison sang to her, and she really enjoyed it!
Happy Birthday, Grandma (Granny to Chloe and Kyle)!

Halloween 2008

We started out our Halloween with the the 3rd Annual Block Party.  We ate chili, hotdogs and cookies.  The kids had a fun time running all through the yards during the party.

Chloe dressed as Cinderella, and Kyle dressed up as Tigger.

My parents came over for the party and also wanted to watch Kyle go trick-or-treating for the first time.

Tony and Rachel also came over with Lorenzo.  Lorenzo was dressed as a golfer.

All 3 kiddos looked so cute!

We started the trick-or-treating at 7:00.  When Kyle walked up to the first few houses, he would go right in the house and start running around.  It wasn't until the 5th or 6th house that he really got the hang of it.  He would stand there, hold his bag out and say thank you when they gave him candy.  There were a few times when he reached in his bag and gave the piece of candy back....I guess he was being picky.

We finished trick-or-treating around 8:15.  The kids came back to our house and emptied their bags on the floor.  Chloe just started ripping the candy open.

I put the kids in the bath to wash them off.....they were so dirty and sticky!  Then, Tony, Rachel and Lorenzo went on home.

It was a great 2008 Halloween!
