Days of the Week

As we were eating dinner tonight, Kyle started singing the Days of the Week song. We didn't know that he knew all the days, so of course, I had to grab the camera! He was avoiding eating his dinner, so he kept singing it over and over again!

January 2008

Today is Homer's 4th birthday! The kids were so excited to give him a couple of new toys and some snacks! We are getting him a new tag for his collar later on.

Happy Birthday, Homer!

Tee's Birthday Dinner!

We had dinner at Beni Hana for Teresa's birthday on January 2nd! We met up with Teresa and Matt and Teresa's sister, Alice, and her fiance. Hope you had a fun time, Teresa!!

Teresa and I grew up on the same street and our kids are very close in age. Chloe and Shelby are 4 months apart, and Kyle and Mallory are 4 months apart.

Here is our cute Homer!

Santa brought Chloe the American Girl Doll Bitty Twins. She named them Wendy and Caroline.

Santa brought Kyle a basketball goal, and he has practiced and practiced for the last 2 days! We have all had fun having basket shooting contests with eachother!

Chloe loved playing in the snow! We had snowball fights and attempted to make a snowman, but the snow seemed too powdery to stick together. Kyle preferred to stay inside and play with his cars than to play in the snow!

Santa searched all over Ebay for a Lite Brite model from the 70s and 80s. After bidding on many of them, he finally won a 1984 Lite Brite for Chloe. It included all the original unused pictures!!

This is a picture of my dad and I playing with a Lite Brite on Christmas morning in 1980. I was 6 years old.

This was such a fun Christmas with the kids! They really got in the spirit of it all!

The Elf on the Shelf came to visit our house for the first time on Thanksgiving morning. They called him a few different names until one of them finally stuck with both of them....they named him Buddy! (They love the movie, ELF!) Buddy made sure they were good and brought them a little candy cane each day if they had been good the day before.

Chloe wanted one of us to read The Christmas Story to her every night. Kyle enjoyed it, too, and he would go show us Baby Jesus in our Nativity set.

We spent Christmas Eve with my side of the family and Christmas Day with Everett's side. Christmas morning was spent opening presents from Santa and playing in the SNOW!

We went to grandma and grandpa's house to make cookies today! Chloe and Kyle had a fun time icing and decorating all the cookies!
