Hot Air 5K Race

I ran in my first 5K race on August 17th.  There were 193 runners, and I came in 133 with a time of 34:25.  Out of the 36-45 age group, I was 19th out of 34 runners.  Can't wait for the next one!

Chloe's Summer Basketball

Chloe played in a summer basketball league.  This was her first time to play, and she loved it!  She scored many points for the team, and even scored 20 out of the 32 points in one game!  They won the championship game on August 3rd!

Milk on This

Carissa wakes up every morning asking for breakfast.  She says, "I want milk on this and a spoon."  This is a long way of saying she wants cereal.  Many times I give the older kids cereal without milk, because sometimes they want it dry and sometimes they want milk on it.  She has heard the kids ask for "milk on it" so many times that now she thinks that is what cereal is called.

Carissa brings so much excitement to the family!:)  There's the fun excitement of playing and being loud, and then there's the not so fun excitement of screaming and tantrums!  She has a temper and isn't afraid to show it off.  We hope she is only having a 2's stage and is out of it by age 3!  The potty training is going ok for the time we have to spend on it.  I had the other 2 fully potty trained by this age.  I know most of it has to do with our schedule now.  We aren't able to just sit at home when I need to run the others to practices and camps.  We need just a few days completely at home to focus on it, but I cannot seem to find those few days in a row to do it!

2nd Grade Program

Chloe's 2nd Grade Program was on April 18th!  It was a program about their super hero strengths and the super heroes around them!

Gymnastics Banquet

The Gymnastics Banquet was held on May 6th.  Awards were handed out and a video of the season was shown.  Chloe received the award for "Most Improved Level 4 Gymnast".  She was so proud of her trophy.:)

Chloe started off as Level 4 Achievement for her first meet.  She needed a baseline to perform for Level 4 Placement.  She scored an All Around score of 34.525.  She will be Level 4 Division 4 next meet.

Here is how it is determined what Division they will be in.  It is based off their All Around scores.
Division 1:  37.025 and up
Division 2:  36.025-37.00
Division 3:  35.025-36.00
Division 4:  34.025-35.00
Division 5:  33.025-34.00

Chloe competed Level 4, Division 4 this meet.  Her All Around score for this meet was 35.45, so she will compete Level 4, Division 3 at the next meet.

FLOOR:  9.45 (2nd place)

ALL AROUND:  36.5 (12th place)

Chloe competed Level 4, Division 3 at this meet.  Her All Around score for this meet was 36.50, so she will compete Level 4, Division 2 at the next meet.

April 6, 2013 Texas Tough Meet in Bedford

BEAM:  8.55

FLOOR:  9.3

ALL AROUND:  36.35 (9th place)

Chloe competed Level 4, Division 2 this meet.  Her All Around score was 36.35, so she will again compete Division 2 at the State Meet.

April 28, 2013 STATE MEET at TWU in Denton

Chloe was not able to go to the State Meet.  She was supposed to compete on Sunday, April 28th.  She woke up at 11:30pm on Saturday night and started vomiting every hour until 6:00 Sunday morning.  She kept trying to convince herself she was well enough to go.  She was so disappointed to miss it, but she was glad to have been in 4 Meets this year.

Bathroom Remodeling

After living in our house almost 10 years, we finally decided to redo our master bathroom.  We did a few changes to it over the years, but now it is exactly the way we want it.  We can now move on to other house projects.  There is always something to be fixed.
