4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July differently this year, and we think we will now have a new family tradition since we had so much fun! We relaxed the entire day, and then we headed out to Frisco late that afternoon for the FC Dallas Soccer Game! When the game was over, they had a fireworks show. The kids loved it! The Ferinas came over on the 5th to swim and hang out which is what we usually do on the 4th. It was a great weekend!

It's been almost a month since I last posted about Carissa's swimming, and she has improved so much! She now swims about 10 feet out to Everett and can keep herself afloat for about 15 seconds. We are also working with her on getting out of the pool.

Summer Camp

Chloe went to church camp for the first time this summer. She was roommates with 3 friends from school. She was so excited to have this new adventure! Chloe left early in the morning on June 23rd, and she returned home on June 27th. It was a very hard week for us without her since we were not able to talk to her the entire week. I kept looking for her in pictures that were posted, but I never spotted her. It was hard dropping her off Monday and not seeing or hearing from her again until Friday when she ran off the bus! Chloe came home and immediately wanted to talk to us about her experience. She was expressing her knowledge of the gospel and longing to know Him more. She said she was ready for the next step in her faith and wanted to be baptized. We were overjoyed and had waited for her to express this to us on her own. Over the past year, we have noticed the path she has been taking. She has asked many good questions and showed her desire to learn more about God. We are so proud of her and the decisions she has shown to us. We will be starting a baptism class soon at our church.

Last Day of School Pictures

The 2013-14 schoolyear is now over! They will be 2nd and 4th graders in the Fall!

Carissa's last day of her 2's Preschool Class was on May 22nd!

Gymnastics Banquet

Chloe's Gymnastics Banquet was on Sunday, May 18th. We had lunch with all the teams, and then they handed out awards. Chloe received the award "queen" for the highest overall floor scores on the Level 3 team. Their was a queen for each each event on each team. She has now moved up to the Level 4 team, and is learning all her new skills this summer!
