The Beam

For many years, Chloe has been scared to do the beam at gymnastics.  It is now her favorite event! She has a little floor beam at home and makes up routines all the time.  She is starting to learn her back-walkovers on the beam now!  Gymnastics Meets start in January!!

Kyle's Soccer

Kyle is playing on 2 teams again this fall.  He plays on a rec team called Destroyers, and he also plays on a club team called Andromeda.  Here's a little video of him playing last weekend.

Hot Air 5K and 1K

Chloe and I competed in the Highland Village Hot Air Balloon Festival runs on August 16th!  Chloe ran the 1K and was the overall winner!!  She won a $25 giftcard to Target!!

I ran the 5K, and placed 49 out of 130.  In my age group (36-45), I placed 5th out of 27. 

My time was  27:35!

Pictures of Homer

I took some pictures of Homer outside and planned to send them in for our homeowners association newsletter.  They were having a cute dog contest in August.  I forgot to send the pictures in, so I'll post them on here instead!  He really is cute!

Carissa's 1st Soccer Practice!

Carissa's 1st soccer practice was on August 19th!  Her first game will be September 13th.  Everett is the coach of her 3 year old team.  This will be fun to watch!

Carissa's First Day of 3's!

Carissa started the 3's class on September 2nd!  We will go Tuesday and Thursday mornings!

Chloe and Kyle's 1st Day of School

Chloe and Kyle started school on August 25th!  Chloe is now in 4th, and Kyle is in 2nd!

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July differently this year, and we think we will now have a new family tradition since we had so much fun!  We relaxed the entire day, and then we headed out to Frisco late that afternoon for the FC Dallas Soccer Game!  When the game was over, they had a fireworks show.  The kids loved it!  The Ferinas came over on the 5th to swim and hang out which is what we usually do on the 4th.  It was a great weekend!
